A Wake Up Moment

Have you ever had a ‘F**k It’ moment when circumstances are such, you realise you have nothing to lose, and it really is time to take action regardless of consequences. That moment came for me with the events leading up to and after 2019.

Psychologically injured people were already falling out of merciless governance and corporate systems in ever increasing numbers. The healthcare profession was incapable of catching them, insurance companies were doing their best to avoid compensation payments, and the incoming tide of injury had turned into a tsunami of stress, pain and suffering.

It was distressing to see people who had given so much in service and were being ‘kicked to the curb’ with inadequate support in their time of need. What took place after 2019 however, I was unprepared for – as were most others. It was overwhelming, confronting and extremely challenging. Any faith or hope I had left in our political and corporate leaders, and their willingness to provide and implement solutions, was rapidly disappearing into the dry sands of despair. I could not carry what I knew about what was going on, the dynamics driving it, the desperate need for systemic change, and stay silent. This was my moment of complete and total reassessment and waking up, I needed to act regardless.

There were already enough people reacting out of the deep pain and the anger of betrayal, and I did not want to be part of that. Nonetheless, I began to ‘call out’ the abusive, controlling and manipulative nature of the strategies being deployed for population compliance, with what seemed to be an undeclared agenda. As a result, like others speaking out, I was intimidated and censored by my profession in an attempt to silence me. Clearly a different approach was needed

My many years of research and work with the systems sciences and indigenous wisdom traditions pointed me in the right direction. I needed to reposition myself outside of what was going on and think differently. Deregistering voluntarily as a healthcare professional was the first step. In that unhooking I discovered how impacted I was by my past work and needed time for healing, release, processing and integration. Drawing on, and trusting my knowledge of wisdom traditions and Transformational systems, I stepped into the uncertainty of what was to come and immersed myself in these powerful natural processes.

As I had experienced many years prior whilst deeply immersed in nature, the place of healing and Transformation came, supported by Mother Earth. Into the ocean of infinite wisdom and unconditional love the turbulent and murky rivers full of the pain of human suffering flowed. I was emptied, and then the rivers of energy and consciousness within me began to flow clear once again bringing the strength and wisdom access I needed. I emerged with a transformed world view, a transformed interconnected sense of self, and motivated to act.

I was 70 years of age with this strange, yet undeniable, feeling of being free of the hooks of my past, and having the opportunity to live my life anew in whatever way I wanted. In the peace I now felt, I could simply immerse myself in nature as I love to do, enjoying the communion and powerful sense of belonging that comes and live a contented life. However, the thing about being an elder, as I now felt and had learnt from my indigenous teachers, is that we have an obligation to the earth that supports our existence and the generations coming after us. I could not turn away from what I felt called to do, and began walking this path wondering about the unfamiliar landscape before me, in what ways I would traverse that, and what experiences would it bring.

A new website is my starting place and where I return from time to time to share what I and others encounter in this journey of exploration. You won’t find a top down emotionally hyped up approach there, proclamation of truth, or me promising outcomes in a hierarchical directive approach. I am not that person.

What was shown to me in my time of Transformational healing, is the problems humanity faces are of such a magnitude that no one person carries the solution. Rather, we all carry part of the solution and when we come together with suitable values and wisdom protocols guiding us, the big solutions that have been unseen emerge, along with the pathways to implement them.

I know the groundswell of Transformational change for a better future is underway and my contribution is to support the ever increasing numbers of dedicated and innovative people already involved, and to provide pathways for those who understand something is terribly wrong and are looking for new ways of acting for peaceful solutions and a better future. This is my work. You will find out much more about that if you visit my website.

I have been, and continue to work with Transformational systems and be guided by nature based wisdom in this work. Everything I do, including my website, is in a process of dynamical evolution that continues to adapt, flex and evolve guided by powerful interactive processes and feedback from those involved. This will be particularly evident as I continue to add the fullness of what I have learnt and continue to learn in my lived experience upon this remarkable planet and everything it has brought into existence.
